Matt Latino represents the next generation of NHRA Pro Stock drivers, but his path to the driver's seat started before his professional debut.

Growing up in a racing family, Matt was introduced to motorsports at an early age. He began racing go-karts at just five years old and, by the age of 12, was already working alongside his father, Eric Latino, on his Pro Mod team. At 16, Matt moved into his first door car, a 1964 Plymouth Valiant, before later racing a 1973 Plymouth Duster in Pro Street.

Matt earned his NHRA Pro Stock license in early 2025. He quickly began making a name for himself in one of the most competitive classes in drag racing. In just his second attempt at qualifying, Matt made the field at the Winternationals in Pomona and earned his first career round win in a memorable first-round matchup against his father.

What started as an opportunity to compete in a handful of races quickly grew into much more. Through hard work and his ability to build strong relationships with partners, Matt put together an impressive rookie season, earning round wins and advancing to his first Pro Stock final round. His efforts also earned him recognition as a 2024 Drag Illustrated 30 Under 30 honoree and an NHRA Rookie of the Year contender.

Now behind the wheel of the FASS Diesel Chevrolet Camaro, Matt continues to build his own career and establish himself in NHRA Pro Stock. 

Known for his calm demeanor behind the wheel and his determination away from the race track, Matt is focused on building a career of his own. Racing may run in the Latino family, but Matt is working hard to create his own path and prove he belongs among the best in Pro Stock.
